Product Description :
- It is an electromechanical device used to protect electric motors from overheating due to overload conditions. It operates based on the principle of thermal expansion of two different metals bonded together.
- The core component consists of two metals with different coefficients of thermal expansion. When current flows through the relay, the heat generated causes the strip to bend due to unequal expansion.
- As the temperature rises from an overload condition, the bending of the strip eventually activates a switch mechanism that disconnects the motor from the power supply, preventing damage.
