  • Dynamic braking is a technique use to slow down or stop the motion of an electric motor by converting the motor’s kinetic energy back into electrical energy, which is then dissipated as heat in the dynamic brake resistor. Dynamic braking resistors are commonly used in various applications, including elevators, cranes, electric trains and trams, industrial machinery, and other systems where rapid deceleration or stopping is necessary. They help prevent the electrical system from being overloaded and protect the motor from excessive voltage or current.
